I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
